The Hrystia Hranovska Foundation is a charitable organization founded by Borys and Hrystia Hranovska as a continuation of the family’s long-standing philanthropic tradition. Its mission is to strengthen cultural identity and social unity, as well as to create opportunities for promoting Ukraine on the global stage.
What began as a personal desire to do good has grown into a team that implements ambitious cultural and educational initiatives, uniting people around shared values and faith in Ukraine. Today, the Foundation works on projects that shape a new reputational, diplomatic, and educational presence for Ukraine in the world—from War Diaries and Skarb to Freedom Diaries and cultural collaborations at global festivals. How does the Foundation support cultural and educational changes?
In 2025, the Foundation supported four educational and cultural initiatives with nearly 2 million UAH: the Before/Nation exhibition on Ukrainian patronage; the Values and Society seminar by the Aspen Institute, which brought together leading public figures; the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) working group on updating history curricula; and the Education for the Future of Ukraine project.
A separate milestone was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Hrystia Hranovska Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine—a step that transitions philanthropic initiatives into a format of systematic interaction with the state.
