Musician FAHOT presents the track SKARB — a musical tribute to our cultural memory, resonating with the voices of ancient instruments and the pulse of a modern beat. The hurdy-gurdy, sopilka, rhythm, and emotion have all merged into one track, created as part of the educational project “Skarb” (“Treasure”), which explores the origins of Ukrainian identity through history lessons. This music is a reminder: our culture is not a museum exhibit, but a shield, a living energy that works for us today.
“I always find the combination of modern dance music and ancient Ukrainian instruments symbolic. But when it also sets the mood for a historical animated project that tells modern schoolchildren the true history of Ukraine, the symbolism goes off the charts. The hurdy-gurdy and sopilka become the main characters of this ethno-house track, which bears the same name as the educational historical project — Skarb. For the first time in all my years, I used a shepherd’s horn in my music, which sounds incredibly authentic. I wonder if the listener will be able to pinpoint exactly where it plays in this track. We are preserving our history and building our tomorrow today,” says Oleh “Fahot” Mykhailiuta.
