Over 1,500 Norwegian schoolchildren visited the exhibition “War Diaries: The Unheard Voices of Ukrainian Children” in Lillehammer, Norway.
The exhibition was held as part of the World Expression Forum 2025.
The opening was attended by: State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Equality of Norway, Mr. Erlend Hanstveit; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Norway, Mr. Oleksii Havrysh; Minister of Culture and Equality of Norway, Ms. Lubna Jaffery; President of the International Publishers Association, Gvantsa Jobava; and Managing Director of the World Expression Forum, Mr. Kristenn Einarsson, who read an excerpt from the diary of 13-year-old Arina Pervunina from Odesa.
Also, as part of the exhibition, a screening of a documentary film by Vladyslav Piatin-Ponomarenko about 75 days of life under occupation in Mariupol took place. Together with the initiator and mastermind of the project, Khrystyna Khranovska, Vladyslav participated in a panel discussion at the forum, where he urged the international community to amplify the voices of Ukrainian children, which the world needs to hear.
