Sharing stories of loss, fear, and strength: “War Diaries: Unheard Voices of Ukrainian Children” exhibition presented in Vienna

As part of the 7th Ukrainian Charity Ball in Vienna, the exhibition War Diaries: Unheard Voices of Ukrainian Children was presented.

The project consists of drawings, audio, video, and short texts created during the full-scale war, through which Ukrainian children share their stories of loss, fear, resilience, and strength that far exceed their years.

On February 12, the final day of the traditional ball season in Vienna, the powerful voices of Ukrainian children accompanied the guests throughout the evening at the ball, which was held for the first time at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna.

“Austria is a country where children’s rights are protected at the highest level and are even enshrined in the Constitution. And it is here, without filters and without embellishment, that we presented what our Ukrainian children are going through every day—their diaries, drawings, and video memories. About loss, fear, strength, and hope. We are bringing this exhibition so that the world can hear and see. Quietly, but powerfully,” said Anna Sliusar, the exhibition director.
