The Hrystia Hranovska Foundation team took part in the Third Pan-French Conference of Ukrainian Educators, “The Ukrainian School Abroad as the Center of the Community: Language, Culture, Values, Priorities,” held in Cannes on April 25–26, 2026. The conference brought together teachers, diplomats, representatives of government institutions, and civil society organizations working to strengthen Ukrainian education abroad.
During the conference, the Foundation presented two of its flagship projects—Skarb and Freedom Diaries. The team introduced a new educational video lesson dedicated to Prince Sviatoslav the Brave, while Mariia Proshkovska, Creative Director of Freedom Diaries, led an art therapy workshop for conference participants. Educators explored contemporary approaches to teaching history, discussed ways to inspire Ukrainian children to connect with their heritage while living abroad, and became acquainted with the Freedom Diaries methodology and educational materials.
The presentation of both projects generated significant interest among educators. Teachers from across France expressed their willingness to incorporate the Foundation’s educational resources into their classrooms and integrate the projects’ interactive learning materials into their teaching.
The Foundation’s team was especially honored to receive the support of Vadym Omelchenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Liubov Liubchyk, Head of the World Coordinating Educational and Pedagogical Council of the Ukrainian World Congress, who has dedicated many years to advancing Ukrainian education abroad.
The Foundation sincerely thanks the conference organizers and the Idées sans frontières Association for the opportunity to contribute to this professional dialogue and introduce Skarb and Freedom Diaries to Ukrainian educators from across France.
Participation in the conference marked another important milestone in the international development of the Foundation’s projects and reaffirmed the growing interest in innovative educational and creative initiatives that help Ukrainian children remain connected to their history, culture, and identity, wherever they live.
